This pinout is pretty basic, all you need to know is the wires that are connected to the motor vehicle, although as I didn't have the wiring diagram for the vehicle, I had to look up which wires I needed to connect to each line.
Now I had the idea for this project, I already had some of the Raspberry Pi kit, I had the shield, I had the CAN bus lines wired up on the vehicle. But I only had one connection from the Sparkfun CAN shield to the CAN bus lines on the vehicle, I needed to add another one so I had something to interact with. I had a connector available that had a female header on one side and a female plug on the other side. Having never used this connector I didn't know what the pinout was or if I could just solder the wires together.
Also, if there are any signals you do not understand, you might want to find a diagram that explains that CAN bus communication and see if it helps you to understand it. While you're in there, check out the CAN bus lines that can be used for the various devices in the vehicle, they can tell you a lot about what the device is capable of.
The CAN bus lines are connected to the shield with the appropriate wires going to the CAN bus connector, and a few wires going to the OBD2 connector. These are described in your wiring diagram, so make sure that you are keeping track of these wires. I chose to wire the CAN bus lines in this order:
Once you have completed wiring up the CAN bus shield, you can now plug it into your Raspberry Pi. If all went well, your Raspberry Pi will recognize the CAN bus shield and will be waiting for you to plug a sensor or device into it. If you are missing any of the connections on your Sparkfun shield, you can check the documentation that came with it, just follow the connections in the diagrams.
I am running a PC with Windows 7 and Adobe Photoshop CS6. I am wondering how to end the trial period and convert to a full copy of Photoshop CS6. I tried closing down Photoshop, which produced a message telling me to return the disk. I did that, but the same message returned. How can I end this?
